概览
郭庄位于西湖杨公堤畔，是杭州现存最完整的清代私家园林，占地近万平方米，与西湖仅一堤之隔。园内引西湖活水入园，亭台临水、曲桥卧波，借景苏堤与雷峰塔，被誉为「西湖古典园林之冠」。著名园林学家陈从周称其集西湖造园艺术之大成。它以不足一公顷的面积，浓缩了江南园林的全部精髓。[1]
历史沿革
郭庄建于清光绪三十三年（1907 年），由丝绸商宋端甫初建，名「端友别墅」；后因家道中落转售予汾阳籍郭士林，改称「汾阳别墅」，俗称郭庄。二十世纪八十年代末，园林专家主持整修，按原貌恢复水景与建筑，重新开放后成为西湖园林的代表作。修复工程按历史图档主持完成，最大限度恢复旧观。[1]

全园分「静必居」宅院与「一镜天开」园林两区，两宜轩临水而立，可北眺保俶、南望雷峰；乘风邀月轩挑出湖面，夏日荷风满袖；景苏阁遥对苏堤，寄托对苏东坡的敬仰。园内廊桥、假山尺度精巧，是理解江南园林「小中见大」的经典范本。曲池以桥分隔，大小水面层次丰富，步移景异。[1]
参观贴士
公交至郭庄站下车即到，门票低廉，游人相对西湖主湖区稀少，适合安静品茗赏景。园中茶室可临水小坐，夏季荷花、秋季残荷各有韵致。游览约一小时，可与曲院风荷、杭州花圃串成杨公堤一线；清晨光线斜照时最宜摄影。园小而精，宜慢看细品，即便半小时亦可尽兴。[1]
Overview
Beside Yanggong Causeway on West Lake, Guo Villa is the most complete Qing-dynasty private garden surviving in Hangzhou, just under a hectare a dike away from the open lake. Living water is channeled in from the lake itself, and pavilions and curved bridges frame borrowed views of Su Causeway and Leifeng Pagoda — earning it the title 'crown of West Lake's classical gardens.'
Silk merchant Song Duanfu built the villa in 1907 as the Duan You Villa; sold to the Guo family of Fenyang, it became the Fenyang Villa, or simply Guo Villa. Restored to its original design in the late 1980s, it is now the textbook of West Lake garden craft. The Liangyi Pavilion looks north to Baochu Pagoda and south to Leifeng; the Moon-Inviting Pavilion juts over lotus water; the Jingsu Pavilion gazes across to Su Shi's causeway — a masterclass in Jiangnan garden design in miniature.
Take the bus to Guozhuang stop. Admission is modest and crowds are thin compared with the main lakeshore — ideal for quiet tea in the waterside teahouse, lotus in summer and withered-lotus poetry in autumn. Allow about an hour and chain it with Quyuan Fenghe and the Hangzhou Flower Nursery along Yanggong Causeway; slanting morning light is best for photos.
