概览
南锣鼓巷位于北京中轴线东侧，南北长约 786 米，是北京最古老的街区之一。巷子东西两侧各整齐排列八条胡同，呈「鱼骨状」展开，完整保留了元代大都坊巷的规划肌理，被列为北京首批历史文化保护区。如今主街两侧仍是四合院民居与商铺并存的活态街区。巷内的中央戏剧学院与多处文保院落，为街区增添了文化厚度。[1]
历史沿革
南锣鼓巷始建于元代，明清两代这里紧邻皇城，达官显贵、文人学士多在此置宅，僧格林沁王府、可园等遗存至今。民国时期，茅盾、齐白石等文化名人也曾寓居于周边胡同。二十世纪九十年代起，老院落里陆续开出咖啡馆与创意小店，南锣鼓巷由此成为北京最早的文艺街区之一。[1]
看点
主街之外，值得拐进东西向的胡同深处：帽儿胡同的可园与老宅院、雨儿胡同的齐白石旧居、后圆恩寺胡同的茅盾故居，都藏着老北京院落的生活痕迹。主街上文创小店、老北京小吃与新式甜品店比邻而立，万庆当铺旧址等老建筑仍可见旧时商业印记。东棉花胡同的中央戏剧学院老校区也在近旁。[1]
参观贴士
地铁 6 号线、8 号线南锣鼓巷站下车即到，节假日主街人流密集，建议清晨或工作日前往。主街游览约一小时，若想细看两侧胡同需预留半天。推荐与北侧的钟鼓楼、东侧的雍和宫串联游览；巷内多数院落仍为民居，参观拍照时注意不打扰居民生活。两侧胡同比主街清静得多，更适合慢慢逛。[1]
Overview
Just east of Beijing's central axis, the 786-meter lane of Nanluoguxiang is one of the city's oldest neighborhoods. Eight hutong branch off each side in a neat herringbone pattern, preserving the grid layout of Yuan-dynasty Dadu — and earning the area a place among Beijing's first protected historic districts.
Founded in the Yuan era, the neighborhood later attracted Qing princes and officials; the mansion of Prince Senggelinqin and the classical Keyuan garden survive today, and writer Mao Dun and painter Qi Baishi once lived in the surrounding lanes. Since the 1990s, cafés and design shops have moved into old courtyards, making this one of Beijing's earliest artsy quarters. Duck into side lanes like Mao'er and Yu'er Hutong for quieter glimpses of courtyard life.
Take subway Line 6 or 8 to Nanluoguxiang Station; the main lane takes about an hour, or half a day with the side hutongs. Come early or on weekdays to avoid weekend crowds, and combine the visit with the Drum and Bell Towers to the north or Yonghe Temple to the east. Many courtyards remain private homes — photograph respectfully.
