概览
南京路东起外滩、西至静安寺，全长 5.5 公里，素有「中华商业第一街」之称。其中南京东路步行街约 1.2 公里，霓虹招牌与百年老店交相辉映，日均客流数十万，是感受上海都市繁华的第一现场。它是近代中国商业文明的缩影，也是上海开埠的见证。2020 年步行街东拓段贯通后，可从人广一路走到外滩。[1]
历史沿革
1851 年租界辟筑花园弄（派克弄），1865 年正式命名南京路；二十世纪初先施、永安、新新、大新四大百货公司相继开业，开创中国现代百货业，橱窗、电梯、霓虹灯皆由这里率先引入。1999 年南京东路改造为步行街，2020 年步行街东拓至外滩，百年商业街再焕新颜。[1]

永安百货、先施大楼等老建筑立面保存完好，诉说着「四大公司」的商业传奇；夜晚霓虹灯墙是上海最具代表性的街景，铛铛车（观光小火车）沿街缓行。沈大成糕团、邵万生糟货、第一食品商店适合买伴手礼；东拓段直通外滩，一路看尽百年建筑。和平饭店距步行街东口仅一步之遥，老年爵士吧每晚演出。[1]
参观贴士
地铁 2 号线、10 号线南京东路站下车即到，建议傍晚亮灯后前往，从河南中路一路逛到外滩。节假日人流极大，注意财物安全；老字号总店多在浙江路、福建路一带。体力允许可继续向西至南京西路，衔接静安寺商圈。铛铛车票价比步行贵不了多少，逛累了可以代步。[1]

From the Bund to Jing'an Temple, Nanjing Road runs 5.5 kilometers as 'China's No.1 commercial street.' The 1.2-kilometer pedestrian stretch of East Nanjing Road blazes with neon over century-old stores, drawing hundreds of thousands daily — the front row of Shanghai's urban spectacle.
Laid out in 1851 as Park Lane in the foreign settlement and formally named Nanking Road in 1865, the street birthed modern Chinese retail when the 'Big Four' department stores — Sincere, Wing On, Sun Sun, and Dah Sun — opened in the early twentieth century, introducing display windows, elevators, and neon. East Nanjing Road became a pedestrian street in 1999 and extended to the Bund in 2020. Heritage facades survive alongside time-honored food shops like Shendacheng and Shaowansheng, and the little sightseeing tram trundles past the neon walls.
Take subway Line 2 or 10 to East Nanjing Road Station and come after the lights switch on, strolling east to the Bund. Watch your belongings in holiday crowds; the old flagship stores cluster around Zhejiang and Fujian Roads. The energetic can walk on west to the Jing'an Temple shopping district.
